CLOUD HEDGES

We supply box balls (Buxus sempervirens 'suffruticosa') in many sizes. These plants are large enough to form 'cloud' hedges. They have not been trimmed in 2007 so they form shapes which are naturally rounded and less formal.

The Panton Plants nursery is based in an 18th Century walled garden in the Lincolnshire Wolds.

Box has been used in formal gardens for two millenia, yet its popularity shows little sign of waning! The evergreen, dark-leaved, dwarf box plants can be used for topiary purposes, but their main use is as a low-growing, dense, formal hedge, for example in knot gardens and parterres, potager or Italian-style gardens.
